This summer, Color Our World with the Basalt Regional Library! We’re inviting readers of all ages to immerse themselves in a world of vibrant stories, engaging activities, and exciting challenges. The Summer Reading Program is your gateway to a summer bursting with color, fun, and endless possibilities!
The Summer Reading Program is packed with fun programs, reading challenges, and prizes that will inspire you to explore new ideas, learn new things, and add a little more color to your summer. Whether you’re reading books, exploring local parks, enjoying nature, or picking up a new hobby, the library has something for everyone. At the library, the world is waiting to be painted with your imagination!
Sign up for summer reading by filling out a registration form at the library or online.
Babies & Preschoolers: Caregivers are encouraged to read, attend library programs, and complete early literacy activities with their babies and preschoolers all summer long! View our babies’ and preschoolers’ Summer Reading Logs to see what activities count towards summer reading prizes.
Kids, Teens & Adults: See how many books, graphic novels, and audiobooks you can read and listen to this summer! The more you read and listen, the more prizes you can earn! We also have great programs for everyone, some of which require registration.
Pick up and submit paper summer reading logs from the library or submit them online between June 1st and August 4th.
Babies, Preschoolers, Kids and Teens: For each Summer Reading Log you submit, you’ll earn a small prize and an entry into the grand prize drawing of your choice!
Adults: For each Summer Reading Log you submit, you'll earn an entry into the grand prize drawing of your choice!
When you’re ready to pick up your prizes and enter your raffle tickets, bring your completed summer reading logs to the library.
If you’ve been submitting reading logs online, you will be automatically entered into the grand prize drawing of your choice! When picking up your small prizes, let library staff know you submitted book logs online and we can look up how many you have earned.
The last day to submit reading logs is Sunday, August 3.
Grand prize winners will be selected on August 4 - we will call you if you win!
